African Traditional Religion Has no Place in Modern Society.

Alot of times I hear people attribute the dive into extinction by African Traditional Religion to the importation of some "Foreign Religions" to Africa. Yes they may be right in a sense but the gods of lands seemed to have been destined to go into extinction.

First, our gods became utterly useless when they were first confronted by the White men.
Our Chief Priest could walk through thin air, disappear and reappear somewhere else, cure diseases with chants, hold rain and make the earth tremble but the coming of the White men marked their expiration. We had gods of thunder, gods spitting fire, feet creating moats and many others with supernatural powers.
But when the people cried for help when our lands were being invaded, the gods became clueless and declared a state of helplessness.
They couldn't protect the people anymore. That marked the beginning of their end.
The people starting doing away with their gods that are now powerless to embrace a new religion.

African Traditional Religion in a Digital Age•
The world has become a global village, a smaller place. We are in the digital age.
But African Traditional Religion has constantly refused to upgrade as it is grossly embedded in anti-modernism. It abhors progress.
Animals and humans were sacrificed in the old testament in the Bible, but what happened in the New Testament? They all got abolished. A new way of life was introduced.
Of all the religion in the world, African Traditional Religion is the least attractive, least sophisticated and most disconnected.

The Catholic Church has Shrines, do you know what they look like?? Impeccable.
"oh! Sweet Heavenly Father, lead me not down the shrine of any gods"
The first thing that strikes you about A.T.R shrines is the stinking smell that makes you want to throw up...everywhere is disorganized. Which kind of a god inhabits such a stinking place? The smell can suffocate a ghost.
Why can't the shrine be clean and smelling nice? Why can't their altars be clean and neat? Are our gods irritated by cleanliness?
Then the priest always look miserable.
African Traditional Religion has no place in modern society. Am sorry to say but it's the truth.
We see Magicians abroad raking in millions with their shows.
Some of our Traditionalist can do better than Chris Angels, why don't they get a camera and make a Youtube video and engage a wider audience and follower. A video of how to travel with Plantain leaf from Nigeria to the USA and back, will break the internet. Fetching water with a basket will give scientists some sleepless nights. But hell no, the gods doesn't want anything to do with modernity. Obscurity is their game.
Why don't the gods bless their priest with wealth?
Must sacrifice be offered at street junctures?? Must it be a pigeon, goat head, rabbit, porridge yam, oil etc? Can't it ever change?
We have quotes from Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna and many other religious leaders, have you ever seen or heard any single quote from any gods in Africa??
