Of recent, MTN has been sending messages to their customers asking them to come to their office to properly register their sim.
"Dear customer, please visit an MTN Shop immediately with a valid photo ID to verify
Your Sum registration. Thank you for choosing MTN".
Most MTN subscribers have been complaining bitterly about the ill treatment each time they visit mtn office for their sim verification.
Lucky Osas Asenoguan has this to say about this issue:
"Ok
Mtn sent a message last week that my sim is not properly registered.
I have been to their office twice this week just to properly register my "yello" sim but the crowd there is frustrating.
I even slept over at a friend's place in sasha only to wake up around 7:45am to meet a large crowd waiting to register their sim.
The worst part is that they wont let you in but ask you to queue outside.
If MTN doesnt come to my house to register my sim they should forget about having me as their customer..... After all I gave them my real address the last time I filled their form.
They have my phone number.... At least they can call to ask when I'll be home or call to ask me whatever question they want to.
Without us there will be no MTN.... After buying their sim I have to queue outside to register it again like say I no get work? They should be the one stressing themselves, not me."
