When I was a child, I use to be very intelligent, I was actually the best student in my class, I never failed taking the first position. My intelligence earned me scholarship which was suppose to last till my university level.
My parents being traditional people, they thought I needed protection because to them, my community people might diabolically want to hinder my success. My parents saw me as a child that will go places, therefore, I needed protection.
They brought coconut and used the water to wash my head, the native doctor made some incantations. Since the day my head was washed till I finished secondary school, I never passed again... That was how I lost the scholarship and also lost interest in school. This was me that loved school so much, me that never took any other position other than first. My family were practically begging me to write waec, I refused. I lost focus in life and didn't care about what the future will bring.
After years of dropping out of secondary school, I met these set of born again youths. Their lifestyle interested me and I made friends with them. I gave my life to christ, I went through series of deliverance sections and to God be the glory, the spirit to go back to school was revived in me.
Then one day, I told my parents that I want to go back to school, their joy on hearing this was immeasurable. Without delay, they gave me money to purchase WAEC form, I tool WAEC and Jamb the same year, I scaled through and got admission... I went to school, but this time without the scholarship.
