It was an awesome event as Moment With Anita Facebook group held her one year anniversary party in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on 22nd August 2015 at Skycap hotel. The event was graced by the who is who in the society. The founder of the group Miss Anita Chinwe Herbert in her Speech promised to take the group to greater height.


"Greetings to everyone present, I welcome you all to the one year anniversary of Moment With Anita facebook group.

Exactly one year ago, on the 18th of August to be precise, I created a facebook group which I named "Moment With Anita". Moment With Anita in many ways is an extension of my passion for learning, writing, teaching and of course my love for the internet. At the initial stage, some predicted that the group wouldn't last because to them, they have been in many facebook groups which never survived. These people threw a lot of tantrums, and some eventually left the group.


Fortunately, these people were wrong, but it was not just me who proved them wrong; Almost everyone in the audience today contributed to the success of MWA. Very many of you believed me, thus, stayed faithfully by my side ever since. Together we have made good use of facebook, together we have made sure that we can gather here tonight and celebrate our first milestone anniversary.

One year is both a long time and a very short time. The basic truth is that we have been able to achieve a lot through our educative programmes and even through our entertaining programmes within this time frame.

One year ago, I was a young lady with a dream that was simple; I wanted to create a positive impact in the society with the youths as my major target. A year after which is now, I am still that young lady with the same dream, but this time with a more burning desire.

Moment With Anita has achieved so much in areas of education, enlightenment, entertainment, and awareness but this achievement is within the confinement of facebook. It is time to break loose from that shakle.

My vision for Moment With Anita is for it to become a real life television programme, and of course a household name. I have written a proposal to a television/radio house to this effect, hopefully, it will scale through, on the same hope, one day, we will be on National television and beyond.

My vision is for Moment With Anita to dominate the Internet, the print media and the television. We have already started with the internet via facebook and blog. By the time we gather again to mark our second anniversary, our television programme must have been in motion. I as Anita can not do this all alone, your continuous support is the only thing that can make it happen.

I can not end this speech without appreciating each and everyone of you present for your contributions so far towards the growth of this group, I will not forget to thank my admins for their selfless service so far. Finally, I can not forget to make mention of one man who has helped this group in many ways that are too numerous to mention, a man who has inspired and motivated me more than I can show gratitude for, a man who has grown even more popular than I am, a man loved by all. Thank you very much Mr Ubong James for being a pillar and for making us gather here today. I can not thank you enough. To a man I call my God father, my coach, and supporter Pst. Tony Eke, I say thank you for being there for me. Thank you all for believing in me and I ask that you keep believing in me.

Today, I am offering to raise our glasses for love, love which is the cornerstone of any household, I look forward to seeing you all in our "Maranthon Race" for Charity which we intend doing in Lagos as our own contribution towards putting the less privilege off the street, and I hope to see you all in our next anniversary.
