MY NEIGHBOUR PART 4

When I heard the bang on my protector, I can't remember if I 'peed' on my pant, but I remember that when I came out from under the bed, the floor was soaked lolz... The fear wey enter my body reach someone to shit for pant self. I felt very frustrated, "this is definitely the last time I
will ever do any job for my neighbour I swear" I said in my mind.

Luckily for me, I locked my protector when I entered my house, so they banged and banged, but I refused to come out. When they got tired, they threatened that they will sure return for me, then they left.



Although I knew they have gone, I refused to come out from under my bed because you never can tell if they are still hanging around. I stayed under my bed that I didn't know when I slept off, by the time I woke up, it was already 6:30pm. I was infuriated, how can my neighbour put me in this kind of mess!. I came out from under my bed and decided to storm his flat without minding my soaked cloth. "He must pay me my money, what nonsense!" My heart was pounding already, he can't get me in this mess and still not pay me my money.

When I got to my neighbour's flat, with anger and rage, I stormed his sitting room, I was about to open my mouth wide to shout on him when my eyes were graced with someone in his own pull of blood. My neighbour was bleeding seriously, and he was panting... My heart skipped. Chineke oo, these people almost killed this man. I had to quickly rush out to get a cab man, then I took my neighbour to the hospital.

Before we got to the hospital, my neighbour has already passed out, I was terrified as that happen to be my first time of seeing someone that passed out. The hospital confirmed that he is still alive, but before they will commence treatment, I have to pay a deposit of N15,000.

Chineke eeeeeh!

Can you imagine this my neighbour, he is owing me and still have the nerves to pass out for me to start paying his hospital bill. I didn't know where to get money from, had it been he is awake, he will at least tell me where he kept his money. I decided to go ransack his room to see if I can get money. I paid for hospital card, then told them that I will be back in a jiffy.

I went to his room, turned everywhere upside down, but couldn't find one kobo... does it mean this guy didn't even have the money to pay me before? SMH. I had to quickly go to my flat, entered my brother's room and took his money... Life first! I will explain to him later.

I went to the hospital, paid the deposit and the hospital commenced treatment. I couldn't wait for him to wake first so that he will explain to me why he kept no money in his house, and possibly tell me how he will refund me the money I paid because I can not act drama for my brother, that one go just chop me raw.

It was already 9:30pm, and I wanted to go back home, only for the hospital management to say that I have to stay there and look after my neighbour as non of his relative was around to do so. With my hands on my head "how did I get myself into this?". Shebi na me go act as my neighbour wife, na now I go play the role of his wife reach the end... Tears almost dropped down from my eyes.

My people, this was how I slept in the hospital looking after my neighbour till the next day when he woke up, the nurses advised I don't say anything to him that will disturb him, so I have been keeping quite. Since that sunday till now, I have been in the hospital looking after him, cooking free food for him, bought him beverages as requested by the doctor... He has been in the bed drinking lucozade boost, I just noticed that he has gotten fat while I have slimmed down.

Anyway, I have calculated all the money I have spent plus the one he is owing me, its a total of N54,325. His mother is coming today and he will be discharged today, so he will sure pay me my money.
